Johnny Loveridge grew up on a diet of 70s and 80s Rock, Blues, and Country. He learnt his songwriting skills writing with Alan Casswell. (writer of, On The Inside)

Song idea were bourne from his time living in outback Australia around Brewarrina, listening to Slim Dusty, Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers and Merle Haggard.
